Georgetown-Scott County EMS (GSCEMS) is the sole EMS provider in Scott County Kentucky.  Established in 1976, GSCEMS provides service to a population of nearly 54,000 that reside in the 285 square miles of the county.  In addition to our residents, thousands of individuals travel through the county each day on Interstates 64 & 75 and come to work at various industrial sites or those who study at Georgetown College.  Based out of three (3) stations, GSCEMS operates five (5) Advanced Life Support units 24/7/365, answering over 7,500 requests for service annually. The crews work under off-line medical control utilizing protocols established by the Kentucky Board of EMS (KBEMS).   A paramedic supervisor oversees each shift and responds to high acuity calls in a chase vehicle to provide additional assistance. Equipment includes Type I and Type III ambulances; Stryker Power Load System and power pro stretchers, Stryker stair chairs, Lucas CPR devices, Life Pak 15 cardiac monitors, Panasonic Toughbooks and ESO software.
